Terms of Service

Last updated: 29 September 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and START TECH WEB DESIGN, the operator of SkyLara (“SkyLara”, “we”, “us”). They apply when you use the SkyLara website at skylara.co or the SkyLara mobile app. By creating an account or using SkyLara, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use SkyLara.

1. What SkyLara is

SkyLara is a software platform that connects skydivers with dropzones. It lets you discover dropzones, compare and book packages, check in, keep your skydiving profile and logbook, and receive dropzone communications. Dropzones use it to run bookings, manifests, records and approvals.

SkyLara is not a skydiving operator, school or safety authority. We do not run jumps, train students, pack or inspect equipment, make weather or manifest calls, or certify anyone’s readiness, licence, canopy progression or equipment. Every safety and operational decision stays with you, the dropzone, its instructors, riggers and pilots, and the aviation and parachuting authorities that apply where you jump.

2. Skydiving is dangerous

Skydiving and related activities involve serious risk of injury and death. Taking part is your own choice. SkyLara does not encourage, direct or require anyone to jump, to downsize a canopy, to use any particular equipment, or to act beyond their training and ability.

Always follow the briefings, rules and instructions of your dropzone and instructors. Any waiver, release or participation agreement you sign with a dropzone is between you and that dropzone, even if you sign it through SkyLara.

3. Your account

  • You must be 16 or older to create a SkyLara account. If you are 16 or 17, you need the permission of a parent or guardian, who accepts these terms for you. People under 16 can take part only as a dropzone’s guest, where the dropzone allows it, with a parent or guardian who signs the dropzone’s waiver for them. Dropzones set their own minimum ages for jumps.
  • Give accurate information and keep it up to date, especially licence, insurance and safety details.
  • Keep your password and sign-in codes private. You are responsible for activity on your account; tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.
  • You can delete your account at any time, as described in our Privacy Policy.

4. Dropzones and their content

Dropzones are independent businesses. Each dropzone is responsible for the information it publishes on SkyLara, including its packages, prices, schedules, availability, policies, announcements and safety rules, and for the services it provides to you. Records a dropzone keeps about you, such as manifests, waivers and jump records, are that dropzone’s records.

We work to keep SkyLara accurate, but we do not guarantee that dropzone information is complete or current. Check important details with the dropzone.

5. Bookings, payments and cancellations

  • When you book a package, event or other service through SkyLara, you are buying it from the dropzone, not from us. The dropzone sets the price and the currency, and any service fee is shown before you confirm.
  • Card payments, where offered, are processed by Stripe for the dropzone. Your card details go directly to Stripe, and Stripe’s own terms apply to the payment.
  • Cancellations, rescheduling, no-shows and refunds follow the dropzone’s cancellation policy shown in SkyLara. Weather holds and operational cancellations are the dropzone’s decision.
  • Wallet credit and gift cards are issued by a dropzone and can be used only at that dropzone, on the terms it sets.
  • For questions about a booking, charge or refund, contact the dropzone first. We will help where we can.

6. Your content and conduct

You keep ownership of what you add to SkyLara, such as your profile, photos, logbook entries, documents and messages. You allow us to store, process and display it as needed to run SkyLara for you and for the dropzones you use, as described in our Privacy Policy.

When you use SkyLara, you agree not to:

  • give false information, impersonate anyone, or upload documents that are not yours or not genuine;
  • harass, threaten or abuse other people, or post unlawful, offensive or misleading content;
  • upload another person’s personal data without the right to do so;
  • try to access accounts or data that are not yours, break or bypass security, overload our systems, or collect data from SkyLara with bots or scrapers;
  • copy, resell or reverse-engineer SkyLara, except where the law allows it;
  • use SkyLara to break any law or aviation rule.

7. Equipment, logbook and readiness information

Equipment records, reserve and inspection dates, logbook entries, licence details and any readiness indicators in SkyLara are based on information entered by users and dropzones. They are a record-keeping aid, not an inspection, certification or approval. They do not replace a rigger’s inspection, an instructor’s judgement, or the checks your dropzone and the rules require.

8. SkyLara's software and brand

SkyLara, its software, design and brand belong to START TECH WEB DESIGN or its licensors. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the website and app for their intended purpose while you follow these terms.

If you downloaded the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play, their standard terms also apply to the download. Apple and Google are not responsible for SkyLara or its support.

9. Suspension and ending your use

We may suspend or close an account, or remove content, if it breaks these terms, puts people’s safety or data at risk, or if the law requires it. Where it is safe and lawful, we will tell you why. Dropzones may also restrict your access to their own services.

You can stop using SkyLara and delete your account at any time. Sections that by their nature should continue, such as the limits on our liability and the governing law, still apply afterwards.

10. Disclaimers and limits on our liability

We work to keep SkyLara available and reliable, but it is provided “as is” and “as available”. It may sometimes be interrupted, contain errors or change.

To the maximum extent the law allows, SkyLara and START TECH WEB DESIGN are not liable for injury, death, loss or damage arising from skydiving or related activities, from decisions made by you, dropzones, instructors, riggers or pilots, from weather or manifest outcomes, from the use or condition of equipment, or from information entered by users or dropzones. We are also not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of profits, data or opportunity.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for fraud, or removes rights you have as a consumer under the mandatory laws of the country where you live.

11. Changes

We may update SkyLara and these terms. When we change the terms, we will post the new version here with a new date. If you keep using SkyLara after that, the new terms apply.

12. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the federal laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Dubai. The courts of Dubai have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them or from your use of SkyLara. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection of mandatory laws of the country where you live, or your right to bring a claim there where the law allows.

Before starting a formal claim, please contact us so we can try to resolve the problem.

13. Contact

Questions about these terms: use our contact form, or see the support page. How we handle your data is explained in our Privacy Policy, and account deletion on the account deletion page.
